Tattersall Lorenz increases space under management by ca. 20% to 5.2 million square metres in 2021
TATTERSALL·LORENZ Immobilienverwaltung und -management GmbH (Tattersall·Lorenz) increased the volume of its space under management by around 20% in 2021. It currently totals approximately 5.2 million square metres (12/2020: 4.4 million sq m). Overall, the company is now responsible for the property management of 558 assets (12/2020: 471) in 260 different locations across Germany.
The annual rental income generated by the around 3,200 individual leases on the properties under management amounted to roughly EUR 450 million (2020: EUR 292 million), a year-on-year increase of around 54%. Logistics and light industrial properties accounted for around 2.7 million square metres (2020: 2.6 million sq m) of the space under management together with around 635,000 square metres of retail and 1,700,000 square metres of office properties (12/2020: 590,000 sq m and 1,000,000 sq m respectively).
In the past year, Tattersall Lorenz has continued to expand its presence throughout Germany, not least by opening new offices in Nuremberg and Leipzig. The company now employs 170 staff (12/2020: 152) at its offices in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart.
Tattersall Lorenz's outstanding achievements in the past year include gaining prestigious instructions from Hines, Union Investment Real Estate, Commerz Real and Tristan Capital.
In addition, the company established an advisory board, with members Heike Gündling, Norbert Rolf and Christian Schulz-Wulkow. Applying its well-founded expertise, the new board will provide support to the management, particularly in the further expansion of digitisation and ESG.
The company benefited from the further implementation of the "Cloudbrixx" software.
Tattersall Lorenz has been a member of the ICG, the Institute for Corporate Governance in the German Real Estate Industry, since the end of last year, giving further emphasis and impetus to a value-oriented corporate culture in the industry.
Another highlight for Tattersall Lorenz was being voted, yet again, as one of the top three German property managers by the Real Estate Brand Awards. The company was also nominated by the Bell Report as Germany's strongest-branded and most popular property manager.
"2021 was a very successful year for us. We are delighted with the tremendous confidence our clients have placed in us. In 2022, the year in which we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we plan to continue our expansion strategy. We will be increasing the size and staffing of our branches in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Nuremberg. In addition to gaining new instructions, we will continue to drive forward digitisation in our company and, as a committed property manager, ensure that the fulfilment of ESG criteria is a focus of our activities – not only for ourselves but also for our clients and partners," said Susanne Tattersall, founder and managing partner of Tattersall Lorenz, explaining the firm’s plans for this year.
